Yountville is small, home to about 3,000 people, and it packs a lot into a short stretch of the valley floor. There are old cottages on quiet side streets, newer homes and townhouses, inns and bed and breakfasts, and a main street lined with restaurants and shops. The town sits right among the vineyards, so summers are warm and dry, and the afternoon sun is strong. Dust from the fields and roads settles on siding and trim through the dry months. Winters bring the usual rain, and the creek running along the edge of town keeps some lots damp well into spring. Paint here has to look good up close, since so many people walk past it, and it has to stand up to that sun.

We paint homes and businesses throughout town. For houses, that's mostly exterior house painting and interior painting, with careful prep on older wood and detailed trim. For inns, restaurants and storefronts, commercial painting gets scheduled around guests, so the doors stay open. Get in touch for an estimate, and we'll pick a day to stop by.
Cottages, Townhouses and Second Homes
A lot of Yountville homes are smaller cottages and townhouses, and many belong to owners who don't live here full time. That shapes how we work. Smaller houses still need the full prep, but they go faster, so the job often fits into a week. For owners who are away, we do the walkthrough with you in person or with someone you trust, send the estimate by email, and keep you updated by phone with photos as each stage finishes. Older cottages often have wood siding built up with old coats, and those need sanding and spot priming. Many also have small porches, picket fences and garden gates that owners like painted at the same time, so we price those as part of the job when asked. Townhouses with shared walls or common areas usually fall under an association, which sets the colors and the schedule. Up the road in St. Helena, homes tend to be larger and older, with more trim to work around.
Painting Inns, Restaurants and Storefronts
Businesses along Washington Street can't close for a paint job, so the work has to fit their hours. Outside, we paint in sections, starting early before guests arrive, and keep entrances clear and clean. Inside, rooms and dining areas get done on closed days or between bookings, using low-odor paint so the smell is gone before the next guest. At inns, rooms get painted one or two at a time while the others stay bookable. Storefronts and restaurant fronts catch strong sun, and their doors and trim get handled constantly, so we use durable, washable finishes there. Menu boards, awnings and outdoor heaters get covered or worked around, and nothing goes back up until the paint has cured enough to handle. Patios and outdoor dining areas get covered and cleaned off before service starts each day. The town also has its own rules on exterior changes in some areas, so if you're switching colors, check with the town first. In the city of Napa, we handle the same kind of work for shops and offices downtown.
